You Don’t Know Me

You don’t know me

You don’t know the thoughts run through my head

You don’t know what stresses me out or why

Instead you just reply to my complaints by telling me its no big deal and not to worry about it

You don’t know the real me

The me that hides behind a mask

Revealing myself only to those close to me

Those who know me

Those who know my idiosyncrasies and why I say the things I do

Why I am how I am

If you want to know the real me

Get to know me

Otherwise don’t judge me

Because you don’t know me

  1. Excellent poem! You’re right. We don’t know you…
